About
A Bit About Me
With over two decades of experience in visual effects, animation, and digital production, I’ve built a career that spans film, television, and advertising. My journey began in Mexico City and has taken me across continents—from studying Traditional Animation and Multimedia in Barcelona to completing a full-time program in 3D Animation and VFX at Vancouver Film School. Along the way, I developed a deep passion for digital storytelling and the evolving technologies that drive it.
Prior to moving to Montreal, I built a solid foundation in both Mexico and Spain, working as a CG Supervisor and Lighting/Compositing Artist on a wide range of projects. These included feature film work, premium TV advertising campaigns, and large-scale 3D mapping projections for major brands. I collaborated with local studios and also led projects independently, gaining valuable experience in team leadership, creative direction, and managing production pipelines across multiple vendors and tight schedules.
Since 2016, I’ve contributed to major productions while working in Montreal, Canada, with studios like MPC and DNEG. Now back in Mexico, I continue to take on freelance projects and explore new creative and professional opportunities. My focus remains on embracing evolving technologies and staying at the forefront of visual innovation while mentoring others and refining my craft.

As a Key-shot Artist, I led the creation of photorealistic VFX for high-end films, overseeing final setups, 3D scene assembly, lighting, and rendering of complex shots and sequences. I generated Katana lighting setups, creating both light rigs and reusable Katana templates to streamline production. I maintained close collaboration with upstream departments such as Animation, Tech Anim, and FX, and kept constant communication with compositors to ensure seamless integration and consistency. I also followed up with artists and supervisors on any changes or updates to shots, ensuring that setups remained current and production-ready. Additionally, I helped establish efficient lighting pipelines and mentored junior team members and train newcomers, contributing to high-quality, consistent results across the show.

As a Lighting Artist at MPC, prior to being promoted to Key-shot Artist, I was responsible for executing photorealistic CG integration with live-action plates by following detailed notes from leads and supervisors. I worked with light rigs provided by supervisors, ensuring accurate lighting and consistency across shots. My workflow involved close tracking of upstream publishes and careful identification of potential issues, which I flagged to the appropriate departments under supervision. I also developed lighting slap comps, along with organized contact sheets that clearly labeled rendered elements, making it easier for compositors to identify and work with passes. Additionally, I regularly presented my work in dailies, clearly communicating what had been completed and what remained in progress for each shot.
